Some love stories feel like they were always meant to be, and Liz and Connor’s is exactly that. From the moment they met at her sister’s birthday, Liz knew there was something special about the quiet guy she could not stop following around. What started as playful conversation quickly turned into late-night talks and stargazing adventures that sparked a lifetime together.
After weeks of chatting over Instagram while Connor was away visiting family. When he returned, they finally reunited under the aurora at the Trestle Bridge. That night stretched into hours of deep conversation and laughter until three in the morning, and it was clear something real had begun.
Their first official date was a trip to the Courtenay theatre for the comfiest seats in the house and a slow-burn moment where Liz had to take matters into her own hands and reach for his hand first. Because sometimes the bold move is the right one. The night ended with their first kiss, the kind that leaves you smiling the entire drive home.

Fast forward to Myra Falls, where Connor proposed after a few funny interruptions and spontaneous detours. Between the stunning views, the quiet sound of rushing water, and the feeling of “this is it,” the proposal was perfectly them. It was intimate, real, and filled with laughter.
For their engagement session, we returned to where it all began, the Trestle Bridge. Fall wrapped the forest in golden tones, and their two dogs joined in for the adventure. The weather held up for some gorgeous grey skies giving Twilight a run for it’s money. The way they laugh together, the ease of their connection, the way they fit, it is all effortless.
Liz and Connor wanted their photos to feel candid, warm, and full of movement. That is exactly what we captured. With “San Luis” by Gregory Alan Isakov playing softly in the background, they danced, ran, and held each other close. The result is a gallery that feels like the opening scene of their very own film, one that says, “We always knew.”
