Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
With its turquoise lakes, towering mountains, and breathtaking valleys, Banff is a photographer’s paradise. I envision capturing couples against the stunning backdrop of Lake Louise or taking an adventurous session up to Moraine Lake. The natural beauty of Banff would elevate any wedding, making each moment feel even more epic and romantic.
Santorini, Greece
The white-washed buildings and iconic blue domes of Santorini offer such a dreamy, timeless feel. This island is ideal for intimate weddings with a view, especially during golden hour as the sun sets over the Aegean Sea. I’d love to photograph a couple here, blending the historic beauty of the architecture with the vibrancy of the Mediterranean landscape.
Scotland’s Isle of Skye
With its rugged cliffs, rolling hills, and mysterious moors, the Isle of Skye in Scotland is like stepping into a fairytale. A wedding here would feel both ancient and magical, and I’d love to capture the essence of a couple’s connection surrounded by dramatic landscapes and historic ruins. It’s a perfect spot for couples who dream of a romantic, adventurous celebration.
Yosemite National Park, California, USA
Yosemite’s granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and serene meadows provide a breathtaking setting for an outdoor wedding. I imagine documenting a couple’s vows with the famous Half Dome in the background or capturing candid moments under towering sequoias. Yosemite offers both grand views and intimate nooks, ideal for capturing the beauty of love in nature.
Reykjavik & Southern Coast, Iceland
Iceland’s dramatic landscapes of black sand beaches, waterfalls, glaciers, and volcanic mountains create an otherworldly atmosphere that I’m eager to capture. From the iconic Skógafoss waterfall to the wild Reynisfjara Beach, Iceland’s natural beauty is unmatched. A wedding here would feel epic and adventurous, perfect for couples looking to make their day an unforgettable adventure.
Amalfi Coast, Italy
The Amalfi Coast is known for its scenic cliffs, charming villages, and sparkling Mediterranean waters. I imagine photographing a wedding at a historic villa overlooking the sea, with lush gardens and sunlit terraces. This location would offer both elegance and romance, with endless backdrops that highlight the couple’s joy and the natural beauty of Italy.
Big Sur, California, USA
With its dramatic coastal cliffs and lush redwoods, Big Sur is one of California’s most stunning wedding locations. The mix of ocean views and forest landscapes would provide an incredible variety of backdrops. I’d love to capture intimate, moody photos of a couple along the cliffs or amongst the towering trees.
The Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
The Cliffs of Moher, with their sheer drop to the Atlantic Ocean and sweeping views, would make for a dramatic wedding location. The natural beauty and windswept cliffs create a setting that’s both powerful and romantic. I’d love to photograph a couple exchanging vows here, with the rugged Irish coastline as the backdrop.
Joshua Tree National Park, California, USA
Joshua Tree’s surreal desert landscape and iconic rock formations offer a unique and intimate setting for a wedding. I imagine capturing a couple surrounded by the beauty of the desert under a setting sun or even beneath the stars. This location would be perfect for couples who love both adventure and a touch of whimsy.
Tofino, British Columbia, Canada
Tofino holds a special place in my heart as one of Canada’s most stunning coastal locations. With its rugged beaches, dramatic tides, and lush rainforests, Tofino offers the perfect blend of romance and adventure for a wedding. I imagine capturing a couple exchanging vows at sunset on Mackenzie Beach, surrounded by the sound of waves and breathtaking ocean views. For nature-loving couples, Tofino’s landscapes provide endless possibilities, from forested trails to open beach scenes, each one more enchanting than the last.
Bonus Wedding Venue:
The Valley Weddings. I am absolutely OBSESSED with this location! The photos taken at The Valley in Westerose, Alberta are breathtaking, and I would love the opportunity to capture a wedding here. This venue has everything needed for a perfect celebration: a beautiful ceremony site, a charming reception venue, a bar, a dedicated food service building, heated bathroom facilities, a bridal suite, and a spacious private parking area. Each area has been thoughtfully designed and crafted by their team, with a groom suite coming soon. The setting and amenities make it an absolute dream for unforgettable wedding photography!
These dream locations are at the top of my list because each offers a unique way to tell a love story. I’m excited to work with couples who share a sense of adventure and a love for the natural world, making their wedding day a reflection of who they are.
