I’m Sarah, the photographer behind Latitude 49 Photography. Based on Vancouver Island, I specialize in cinematic and romantic wedding photography that blends editorial artistry with authentic storytelling. My work captures honest emotion, natural light, and timeless connection for couples who want imagery that feels intentional and deeply personal.

Some love stories begin with fireworks. Tyra and Keith’s started with a lunch break at Walmart.
They met while working retail together, and what began as shared shifts quickly turned into something deeper. Keith asked Tyra to hang out one afternoon, and soon, those simple breaks became the beginning of forever. Four years later, they’re planning their October wedding at 40 Knots Winery, officiated by the wonderful Nancy from Love and Joy — and if their engagement session was any indication, it’s going to be a day filled with laughter, love, and heartfelt connection.

A Proposal Straight Out of a Romantic Comedy
Their engagement session brought us back to Seal Bay, the place where Keith proposed — and trust me, the story could have been written for the screen. He tucked the ring safely into his jacket pocket, took Tyra out for breakfast to throw her off, and suggested a casual walk to the beach. When they reached a large rock, Tyra laughed and said, “Just propose to me on the rock.”
So he did.
Seal Bay offered everything they love: tall evergreens, golden light filtering through the trees, and a shoreline that felt like it belonged only to them. Tyra looked ethereal in a flowy sage and white maxi dress that moved beautifully with the ocean breeze, while Keith kept things grounded with his Carhartts and a soft neutral shirt — the perfect balance of rugged and romantic.
We wandered through forest trails before stepping onto the open sand, where the sunlight danced across the waves. Every frame was filled with warmth, authenticity, and the kind of connection that can’t be posed.

Tyra and Keith are the kind of couple who instantly make you feel at ease. They’re playful and kind, completely in sync, and genuinely happy in each other’s company. Their love isn’t loud or over the top — it’s steady, real, and full of the little things that make a relationship last.
They love quiet nights at home, spontaneous date nights, and the occasional casino trip (Keith drinks, Tyra doesn’t, but she’s always down for a good laugh). They tease each other endlessly — about dancing (she’s a trained dancer, he swears he has two left feet) and about jiu-jitsu (her thing, not his) — but that’s what makes them work.
Their first dance song? Born to Love You by LANCO. It fits them perfectly.
Their wedding day this fall will bring together rustic charm, twinkling lights, and cozy autumn energy — a celebration that mirrors their warmth and their story. This engagement session was the perfect prelude: heartfelt, grounded, and full of soft, unspoken love.
Tyra and Keith, thank you for letting me document this beautiful chapter. I can’t wait to capture your October wedding and every laugh, hug, and happy tear that comes with it.
