Wedding photography should never take you out of your wedding day.
My approach is calm, observational, and guided when needed. I step in with direction during portraits so nothing feels awkward or overly posed, then step back to allow moments to unfold naturally. The result is imagery that feels relaxed, emotionally honest, and visually refined without feeling performative.
From the anticipation of getting ready to the movement of the dance floor late into the evening, every part of the day is documented with attention to atmosphere, connection, and the experience of being there.

I am the photographer behind Latitude 49 Photography, based in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.
Living on the island has shaped the way I see and photograph weddings. Coastal weather, shifting light, forest textures, open water, and changing landscapes all influence the atmosphere of my work. I am drawn to imagery that feels immersive and grounded rather than overly polished or staged.
My approach blends documentary storytelling with an editorial eye for composition and light. The goal is to create photographs that feel cinematic, natural, and emotionally true to the experience itself. Whether documenting a quiet coastal elopement or a full wedding celebration surrounded by family and friends, the focus remains the same: preserving moments with honesty, depth, and intention.
