Some weddings feel like coming home—and this one was. Held in the groom’s parents’ backyard in Merville, BC, this celebration was a beautiful mix of intimacy, laughter, and heartfelt moments. Surrounded by forest, flowers, and their closest loved ones, these two created a wedding day that felt cozy, intentional, and deeply personal.
From the bride’s romantic puff-sleeve gown and pearl accessories to the groom’s bolo tie and relaxed, stylish vibe, their look was timeless with a twist of personality. Their first look—shared in a quiet clearing among the trees—set the tone for a day filled with connection, emotion, and joy.
Beneath a canopy of blooming wisteria, the couple exchanged vows in a handfasting ceremony, weaving tradition and love together in the most meaningful way. The energy afterward was nothing short of electric—cheers, hugs, and so many happy tears as they celebrated becoming husband and wife.
One standout detail? The stunning tiered wedding cake, adorned with blush and ivory roses and silver leafing. But even more special was the way they fed each other a slice—soft laughter, sweet expressions, and so much love in the air.
The evening continued with heartfelt speeches, a few happy tears, and lots of laughter from family and friends under a tented reception space filled with florals and soft candlelight. Every part of the day felt like a true reflection of who they are as a couple—joyful, grounded, and completely in love.
