When a wedding blends breathtaking mountain views, heartfelt family connections, and a couple as deeply grounded in love as Kenny and Sean, you know you’re in for something special.
Nestled in the forested heights of Forbidden Plateau, Kenny and Sean were married on her parents’ stunning property—an intimate, nature-rich space that felt deeply personal and wildly romantic all at once. With just over 40 of their closest people, this day was exactly what a backyard wedding should be: relaxed, meaningful, and full of laughter.

We started the day tucked into the forest as Kenny and Sean shared their first look at Nymph Falls. Surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the river and the filtered sunlight through the trees, it was one of those moments where the world feels like it stops spinning for just a second.
Back at the house, guests were greeted with garden games and laid-back vibes. Kenny’s brothers—Josh and Max—set the tone for the ceremony with a hilarious (and now iconic) beer-and-flower boy entrance. From there, the ceremony unfolded with heartfelt vows, joyful tears, and two happy pups—Chewie and Skia—doing their part as honorary wedding party members.

Family portraits flowed naturally into cocktail hour, and soon the sounds of clinking glasses, belly laughs, and lawn game banter filled the air. It was the kind of celebration where everyone feels at home.
Dinner and speeches were heartfelt and hilarious (shoutout to the couple’s crew for keeping us laughing), and just as the sun began to dip behind the mountains, we snuck away for golden hour portraits. There’s something about that last light—warm, soft, and cinematic—that always brings a bit of magic, and these two glowed in it.

Kenny and Sean closed the evening with their first dance and a sweet father-daughter-mother moment, surrounded by the people who know them best. No grand exit, no big production—just dancing under the stars and soaking it all in.
If you’re dreaming of a laid-back Vancouver Island wedding where the mountains meet the trees and love takes center stage, this day is your sign to do it your way. Whether it’s in your family’s backyard or beside a waterfall, the most memorable weddings are the ones that reflect you.
