I share stories from Vancouver Island weddings and elopements in Tofino, Ucluelet, Victoria, Nanaimo, Campbell River, and the Comox Valley. Sessions on Hornby Island beaches, in Strathcona Park forests, and along the coast. Beyond the island, I write about adventures in Vancouver, Whistler, Kelowna, the Okanagan, and the beautiful Chatterbox Falls.
This blog is also a place for Canadian Rockies inspiration—Banff, Jasper, Canmore, and Lake Louise—as well as international destination guides. From Italy’s vineyards to Iceland’s black sands, from Greece’s islands to Ireland’s cliffs, from Mexico’s golden beaches to Hawaii’s sunsets, I share advice and stories to help you dream bigger for your day.
Alongside these real love stories, you’ll find tips for planning a seamless photography experience, advice for elopements, and behind-the-scenes notes from my journey as a photographer. Some love stories just sparkle, and Fiona and Josef’s Victoria engagement session was exactly that. We met at Gonzales Observatory, where golden light spilled across the rocks and the ocean stretched endlessly into the horizon. The wind joined us too, giving the evening a sense of wild spontaneity—and giving Fiona’s hair its own moment of fame. Their love is the perfect mix of balance and fun. Fiona brings thoughtfulness and calm, while Josef adds bold adventure. Together, they’re pure magic, laughing through every gust of wind and leaning into the beauty of the moment. Their connection is effortless, joyful, and completely unforgettable.
